Bridge Education
I started an SAT/college prep program in my senior year of high school called Bridge Education for disadvantaged students in Central Florida through personal tutoring and presentations. Bridge Education pairs high-scoring National Merit Scholars as mentors with students that lack access to college prep in order to provide key peer-to-peer personal attention and informative resources. The program received initial funding from the social entrepreneurship group Youth Venture and employs local donations from community members and Wal-Mart. Bridge Education mentors and students supplement the program with INeedAPencil.com accounts. If you would like to launch a Bridge Education program at your school or contribute to the program, contact the organization leaders at Bridge.Education@INeedAPencil.com.
